Problems with Hostgator and Hosting tips

After the last post about Comparison of Bluehost and HostGator. Today I'd like to specify the truth of any reviews on the internet.

Hostgator hosting services are one of the best options that can be found today. Requires a minimum of knowledge about server administration. But, on the other hand, we find several advantages.

For example, the ratio of active time (uptime) of the servers is 99.902% which cannot be said about services cheaper such as GoDaddy or HostMonster (to cite the most known).

On the other hand, some websites announced that most of its users publish very good reviews on Hostgator services. In fact, if we speak in numerical terms, some reviews say that for every 243 positive votes to Hostgator, we find only about 79 negatives. Which would mean that approximately 80% of its customers are satisfied. And this is totally false.

The reason for knowing it that it is fake is because I frequently visit was hosted forums and I constantly find Hostgator reviews and I would say that 50% are negative. Here are some examples obtained from the same Web page used as way to this article :

I have been with them for more than 1 year and now I'm going. Service was good, you can get results in 30 minutes. But now, sometimes they need up to 16 hours to complete a critical ticket. The online service will give you different excuses without really helping you solve the problem. -User Tina

With this entry is not to prevent users to contract the services of Hostgator, I do not think that it is a bad company hosting and, finally and after, you will not find any perfect. However, I wish that this article would serve to warn the users that do not trust of a review, although it belongs to a blog. The information from a blog can guide, but never decide that hosting company choose, for this decision always is best to consult directly the views of the users and, for this reason, I recommend that you go through some specialized forums, like Web Hosting Talk.
